A hot week ahead, followed by a chance for rain.
Summer pays us a visit this week, with highs reaching the mid 90's (south-central Texas) to the low 100's (SW counties of south Texas) on Wednesday, ahead of a cool front on Thursday. Unfortunately, the front is forecast to go stationary over the Hill Country...fortunately, it and another upper-level low will give us several days of decent rain odds for northern counties in south-central Texas that did not see much rain from our system last week.
By next Sunday, the front will have swept across the state, giving us continued chances for rain and dropping our average temperatures below normal for the following week (7th-12th).
