A shot of winter moves in tonight!
12-9-24. 5pm. This Update is brought to you by Davy Ranch Supply in Yorktown, TX. davyranchsupply.com
As I type this post from SW Colorado, our temperature has dropped from the upper 30’s to the upper 20’s with the arrival of the cold front that will move through Texas tonight! We had a few flurries up here, but unfortunately, we have been drier than south Texas lately.
Quite a different day in Texas, with temperatures rising to over 80 degrees for most locations. Dry, desert winds from the west blew in today ahead of our strong front! Look for a breezy and chilly day on Tuesday, despite the clear skies…morning wind chill temperatures will feel like the 30’s. Winds will go calm tomorrow night and by Wednesday morning, we could see a lot of freezing temperatures for lows. The NWS is likely to issue frost and freeze warnings by tomorrow. More freezes on Thursday morning, then our winds quickly switch to the SE and highs will be back into the 70’s on Friday.
We will see a slight chance for rain this weekend ahead of a seasonal front early next week. The models are hinting of a decent rain chance by the middle to latter half of next week…we shall see!
