A chilly one tonight!

Bring in the pipes and wrap your pets…we have a freeze warning for most of south-central Texas and a freeze watch for most of south Texas tonight! Temps will moderate a bit on Thursday morning, but to be on the safe side, I would do the same tomorrow night. If your northern county is not in a Freeze Warning, it doesn't mean you won't get a freeze...it means you have already had one and the NWS does not issue a repeat freeze warning.

We will be back to the 70’s by Friday and there aren’t any more freezes in sight over the next week and potentially longer as warmer than average temperatures are forecast in the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks from the CPC. Fortunately, the same outlooks continue to give us better than 50/50 odds for above normal precipitation. Most of the models are hinting at rain odds increasing later next week…we shall look into that tomorrow.
