I'm beginning to think we are all part of Groundhog Day, part II! Another day of dust, wind and no rain. While the wind gusts were bad, they actually were less than some of the models had forecast, with the highest gusts I've seen so far, in Junction of 44mph.

Cruise control weather for the next seven days, but more models are now forecasting an actual rain event starting next Thursday the 27th, as a disturbance may move into our area from Mexico instead of zooming off into the plains as has been the case this year. Being 8 days out, things could still change, but it would be great to get some rain before this month ends!

I saw this today and thought I would share it with you guys...it's a report on Horrible Helene from last year: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/data/tcr/AL092024_Helene.pdf
