Happy Vernal Equinox!

Call me wimpy, but I prefer to hear the bad news first, then end up on a positive note!

Our drought is getting uglier and uglier, with even more counties in our area added to the dreaded D4 (Exceptional Drought) category this week...no surprise, with zero rainfall recorded. As of today, all of south-central and south Texas are currently in some form of drought.

Now some positive news! All of the models are forecasting a chance for some decent rain late next week as a shortwave trough is expected to move through Mexico into our area, interacting with a moist SE flow of air from the Gulf. We could see a chance for rain from early Thursday through Saturday!
