Two chances for rain in the next 7days! Round one will be on Sunday night and early Monday morning with the passage of a cool front which really won't drop our temperatures down at all. The odds for rain from this front are pretty wimpy, but there is still a chance!
Our best odds for rain all year will happen on Thursday and Friday of next week as an upper-level low moves in from Mexico. As I mentioned earlier, unlike the lows that keep making a beeline to the NE and leaving us high and dry, this one is forecast to track due east out of Mexico, giving us a very good chance for showers and thunderstorms, some of which could go severe. I have noticed through the years that late March and early April are notorious for producing some very severe storms for south-central and south Texas, with the jet-stream very active over this part of the country.
