We’ve certainly heard this one before, “Best odds for rain will be east of I-35!” On a positive note, this time we are referring to the entire length of I-35, so those of you in south Texas and especially along the coastal plains, will also see decent odds for rain on Wednesday night and Thursday as our cut-off low finally decides to move east! As is the case for most systems this time of the year, there will be a chance for severe storms on Wednesday night and Thursday as the trough drifts by and the cool front moves through later in the day on Thursday.

The cut-off low will get absorbed into a trough and drift into north Texas on Thursday. This will produce scattered storms, mainly to the east of I-35.
