It’s showtime!

While the threat of severe storms has increased, the chance for storms overall, has decreased. During the night, our first round of scattered storms will move through close to daybreak. These storms will be forming as the remains of the cut-off low that has been to our west since last week, merges with a trough and treks through the state from northern Mexico and New Mexico. There will be a lull in the action tomorrow before our second round of storms moves through in the late afternoon, along and ahead of a cool front. These storms will also be wildly scattered, but if one finds your home, look for the potential for large hail and high winds! Most of the models continue to favor locations to the east of I-35 and the coastal plains for rain odds. As always, please tune to your NOAA radio or favorite emergency app to alert you to warnings for your area.
Another front moves through Sunday night, giving us a tiny chance for more rain….not much to get excited about!
