SW winds have driven our temperatures to over 80 degrees for much of south-central and south Texas this afternoon. We will start off with clouds, fog and a slight chance for rain in the morning before our next wimpy front arrives, with SW winds that will send our highs back in to the 80’s again! We “cool” off to the 70’s for highs on Sunday, before another day of SW winds and potentially record-breaking temps in the mid to upper 80’s on Monday, with even a few 90’s in south Texas! Fortunately, after another wimpy front arrives on Tuesday, a real front arrives on New Years Day, dropping our highs into the 50’s and 60’s. For the first week of January, look for more seasonal temps with lows in the 30’s and 40’s and highs in the 60’s to low 70’s.
As for rain odds, other than a slight chance tomorrow morning, I’m not seeing a rain event through the first week of January.
PS: As I work on this post at 8000 feet in SW CO, we have light snow and 30 degrees!
