Ditto weather continues...hot and humid with no major rain event on the horizon. The tropics are getting a little more active again, with the closest potential storm (94L) still at only a 20% chance of becoming a cyclone. The latest models forecast it going into Mexico or Central America and not being a threat to us. A second system has a 40% chance of becoming a tropical something in the next 7 days, but as of today, is still very far out in the Atlantic. Historically, it could be in a location that would bring it into our area, but that all depends on the high pressure over us and what it decides to do in the next couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, we will get our first dose of Saharan Dust early next week as a cloud of it drifts through on Monday and Tuesday. There could be a second round about a week later. For those of us with asthma and other lung issues, Saharan dust is rough on our breathing. It's also a major eye irritant as well.

We have two potential storms in the tropics right now.
The latest model runs for 94L, the closest disturbance to us.
A cloud of Saharan dust will enter our area on Monday...cough, cough!
