The clouds are back, and some light showers are showing up on radar this afternoon. Looking at the latest 24hr rainfall totals, the Laredo area is winning the rain lottery so far with .63 just to the NW of town. Most of us have not found much if any rain in our gauges so far.
Rain odds increase a bit tomorrow, then go down a bit on Wednesday ahead of our next front that should arrive on Thursday. Things get interesting as moisture overrides the cooler air on Friday and our upper-level low over Baja starts sending some disturbances our direction from the SW. Not only will it be chilly from Friday-Sunday, (lows in the 40’s and highs in the 40’s and 50’s), but we could see some decent rain totals throughout that period. Even more interesting, is it now looks like we could see our strongest cold front of the season move through either Tuesday night or Wednesday of next week. With clearing we could see some widespread freezing temperatures for lows…if the clouds persist, we could see lows in the 30’s and highs only in the 40’s! Stay tuned!
