More chances for rain over the next 48 hours.

6-20-24. 9:30am. This Rainfall Roundup and Update is brought to you by Bahia Services and Rentals in Port O'Connor, TX https://www.facebook.com/BahiaServicesandRentals

First of all, we have additional chances for rain today and tomorrow. They will be scattered, but with tropical air over us, any of the storms that move through can drop a lot of rain very quickly.

Tropical storm Alberto is moving into Mexico as I type this post. While not dropping super rain totals over south-central Texas as some of the early models predicted, most of south-central Texas saw 1/2 to 2inch rains, with the highest totals of over 3 inches in Karnes County. Parts of the eastern Hill Country and Austin were in the 2 inch plus zones. I was also pleased to see that the Del Rio area finally got some rain as well.

For south Texas, the totals ranged from 3-7 inches of rain, perfect for many of you ranchers and farmers! This was certainly not a "non-event"!

Beyond Texas, Alberto's moisture is already helping the SW, with Ruidoso, NM getting a big storm yesterday to help ease the terrible fires over there. And my area in SW CO is looking for 1-2 inches over the next three days.

The other good news is that we will not be living under the Hell High for the next two weeks, so there will remain chances for rain most days and temperatures will stay in the 90's for highs. There is another chance for a tropical something to develop in the southern Gulf next week...more on that tomorrow!

On another note, I've noticed that for some strange reason, if you try to enlarge images from my post on your phone, it goes to "send a message". I have no idea what has gone wrong with Facebook, but hopefully they will fix this bug soon. Within 30 minutes of posting here, I will have a duplicate version of this post on my website, which is much more user friendly.
