Rain and hail last night.

While not as heavy as earlier models had forecast, it was nice to see that many of you in the Hill Country reported 1/2 of an inch or more rainfall over the past 24hrs. My weather station in Helotes (NW Bexar County) recorded 0.79 inches of rain. Unfortunately, there were also reports of some large hail in NE Bexar and Comal counties.

Rain totals were less due to very little activity for our area until last night! Originally, the models predicted storms on Thursday night for the Hill Country and rain during most of the day on Saturday. My thoughts are that the cool front moved further south than forecast and that lead to less moisture to work with.

On a positive note, it feels great out there this morning with temperatures in the 50's!

How much rain fell at your place and where? Did you have any hail?
