It’s A Dryline Weekend!
4-22-24 4:45pm. This update is brought to you by Dietz-McLean Optical. www.dmoptical.com
Another night of 50’s and low 60’s ahead before we start warming up to upper 60’s and 70’s for lows and highs in the 80’s by Wednesday. An upper-level low will make an appearance in the Four Corners (AZ, NM, UT and CO) by Friday, giving us a chance for scattered storms Friday-Sunday in the afternoon and evening. We will see the West Texas dryline make a run to the east every afternoon and possibly igniting some scattered storms. Best odds will be north of a Del Rio to San Antonio to Houston line. The models this far out are pretty mixed on where the rain will eventually fall, and since this is a convective system, we may not know until this weekend! The atmospheric cap over us will be hard to break, and unfortunately, if and when it does, severe storms form.
Meanwhile, enjoy the coolish weather!

An upper-level low is expected to form over the Four Corners on Friday. Although the low will track to our northwest, it will aid in thunderstorms forming from Friday-Sunday over our area.
The West Texas dryline will make a run to the east every afternoon from Friday-Sunday. This may spawn some scattered storms for us in the afternoon. Temperatures are dew points, not actual temperatures. Click on images to see them larger.
