Just as the cleanup and repairs start from Helene, we have a 30% chance for yet another storm to form in the Gulf over the next 7days. As of today, none of the models are steering it into Texas and a few are taking it into Florida again. 🙄
For us, more of the same for at least a week. The latest Euro model is forecasting an upper-level low to form over Texas at the end of next week, giving us a great chance for rain. The GFS has the low forming to our east and giving us very little rain. The other models are not showing anything forming. None of the models are forecasting a decent cold front. 😠
Below are some model runs and the latest drought update from yesterday. While September was drier than average for most of us, overall, most counties are no longer in a drought.
