Lots of rain for the Hill Country!

Wow! Impressive rains and unfortunately some flooding, over the areas of the Hill Country that have needed a big rain event for so long. With more on the way today, we should see some help for Medina, Amistad and Canyon lakes. As an added boost, the Edwards Aquifer should also see a rise in its level. My weather station in NW Bexar County, has recorded 4.55 inches over the past 24hrs and I have seen rain totals of over 7 inches in Real, Edwards and Val Verde Counties.

Current radar shows more storms moving in from the west and as I type this update, lots of flood warnings are in effect and more flooding is likely through today.
