Growing up in San Antonio as a kid, I remember we would always plan for my December birthday parties to be outside, then end up in the garage with the doors open, roasting weenies and marshmallows due to drizzle and clouds!

Such may be the case again, starting next week, as another cold front moves through on Sunday, then gets overridden by warm air aloft. Most of next week looks cloudy and cool, with rain chances increasing during the week. As is the case in the winter, it’s unlikely for us to get drought busting floods, but anything is welcome.

In the short-term, we will warm up into the 70’s for south-central Texas and some 80’s in south Texas tomorrow ahead of our next dry front that will move through during the early hours of Thanksgiving. Look for a mostly cloudy day with winds gusting to 30mph…it will actually feel like it should on Thanksgiving! Black Friday morning still looks cold with lows in the 30’s and 40’s. More freezes are possibly in the Hill Country.

PS: We’ve had 4 inches of wet, heavy snow today in Pagosa Springs, CO where I live! Our nearby mountains are expecting two feet.
