Our next cold front is currently up in north Texas moving southward this afternoon. It should arrive around midnight and give us a cool and breezy Thanksgiving with highs in the 60’s. Black Friday will be a chilly one with lows in the 30’s and 40’s.
We get a booster front over the weekend and then things start setting up nicely for several days of light to moderate rain as a trough develops along the coast allowing for overriding moisture to slide over the high pressure. Best odds for rain will be Monday-Wednesday. Best odds for where it will rain, will be along the coast and the coastal plains, but a good portion of south-central Texas should see some rain as well.
According to the latest CPC outlooks, we should stay in an active rain pattern for the next 8-14 days…let’s hope that verifies!
Have a great Thanksgiving Eve.
Mark
