Great rain odds are coming!

With snow no longer likely except trace amounts in the Hill Country, our main headline is “Great rain odds are coming”!
FYI: There is still a chance for ice in the Hill Country and the NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from tomorrow through Friday morning.
Our Baja low, which unfortunately is wreaking havoc in south California with horrific fires, is going to be doing the opposite for us in the next 36hrs. As it moves east towards us, it will draw in lots of Pacific moisture from the SW. At the same time, a low will form along the coast, sending warm Gulf moisture into the mix, boosting our rain odds even more. Rain will start impacting our area by tomorrow morning, then get more widespread during the day. By Friday morning, our next shot of polar air moves through, clearing us out and sending our temperatures down into the 20’s for most of us by Saturday morning. Wind chills on Friday morning will be in the 20’s with winds gusting to 25mph.

As the Baja low treks east, moisture will be flowing in from the SW ahead of the low. A Gulf low will also be forming by tomorrow, ushering in moisture from the Gulf!
