I know we were all hoping for snow, but as of today, it looks like the precipitation will move in slightly later than what the models originally were forecasting, (now mid-day on Thursday) and by then, the temperatures in the upper atmosphere and the surface will be warming. The good news is that the models continue to boost our rain totals, which is really the best outcome one would want if you can’t play in the snow. On the negative side, there is still a chance that parts of the Hill Country and might experience some freezing rain on Thursday and Friday. As we know, ice is not something anyone wants!

Lots of details in the graphics below!
