Just when you thought spring was here to stay, winter will be coming back for at least a week. While we will see some springlike temperatures in between fronts, the overall pattern will be for below average temperatures possibly through the 26th of the month.

Our first front is currently moving through the Hill Country as of post time, with temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s behind it. Ahead of the front, we have 70’s and even some 80’s. By tomorrow morning, the Hill Country could see a freeze, with the rest of us mainly in the 30’s and 40’s. We will stay mostly cloudy and cool on Thursday and Friday, with highs in the 40’s and 50’s. On Saturday, a quick warm up into the 70’s again before cold front #2 roars in, sending our lows back into the 30’s again on Sunday and Monday morning. The freeze line dips a little further south on Monday, with much of south-central Texas dropping into the lower 30’s and 20’s in the Hill Country.

Temperatures warm up into the 70’s, yet again on Tuesday, before another strong front moves through! The GFS and Canadian models think we could see some frozen precipitation by next Thursday with that front…we shall see what they think in coming days!
