A cooler and breezier day today behind our front that moved through this morning. We’ll see lows overnight ranging from the 40’s to the 50’s and highs tomorrow mainly in the 70’s. High temps stay in the 70’s and 80’s over the next week, despite another cool front that moves through next Tuesday. That front will spark a few scattered storms, but most of the models are keeping any decent rainfall totals to our NE, a common occurrence lately!

Reed Timmer, a well-known storm chaser, posted a fairly creepy forecast graphic this morning from the CFS model, indicating a chance for severe storms in our area during the 12th-19th of March. While it’s still possible, (over two weeks out) the GFS and the Euro models are forecasting any rough weather to stay to our NE, as usual! Unfortunately, the latest CPC 6-10day and 8-14day outlooks are forecasting better than even odds for warmer than average temperatures and below average rainfall.

Our next front will arrive around Tuesday morning with a slight chance for some thunderstorms…but most of the activity will stay to our NE as indicated in this surface map.
