I hate doing these kinds of updates! Despite some rain in February (not nearly enough for most spots), we continue to see more and more red on our weekly drought graphic. With only a couple of exceptions, every county in south-central and south Texas is in some kind of drought conditions right now, with the worst in south-central Texas. Not only is rain not likely in the next seven days, but it’s not looking any better for the next two weeks as well. Not to be part of the “misery loves company” group, but a large part of the USA has also been dryer than normal this year so far and much is in a drought.
