Hmm, with temperatures in the 80’s and even a few 90’s today, shall we go out and plant our gardens? The latest 8-14day CPC outlook continues to forecast above normal temperatures through the 11th of March and the latest long-range models are forecasting a warmer than normal March. My only hesitation is based on an old weather notion passed on in my family, that a late Easter means a potential late cold outbreak…and this year’s Easter is about as late as they come (April 20th). Even so, based on everything I’m seeing, odds are in your favor to go ahead and plant! If we get a late frost, please don’t sue me, this is only my vibe!

Meanwhile, if you would like to see the average first and last freeze info for your location, this link from the Farmer’s almanac works pretty well: Frost Dates for San Antonio, TX | Almanac.com I have San Antonio listed in the search, but you can put your zip code in and find the nearest climate data on your location. For fun, check out how tiny a growing season we have up where I live! Frost Dates for Pagosa Springs, CO | Almanac.com I’m actually at a higher elevation than the nearest climate data, so our last frost can come as late as late June or even early July! BTW, please bookmark my website for all kinds of great weather links that you can access, along with my daily blog, which I copy to Facebook daily. Weather Links — Mark Langford's Weather Page

OK…back to the current weather. Another morning of fog on Wednesday morning, though not nearly as dense, then our fog flushing front arrives early on Thursday, cooling our lows down into the 40’s with a few clouds on Thursday, then mostly sunny and warm the rest of the week. We may find a few more clouds on Sunday with a slight chance for rain, but nothing major, with most of us staying dry.

We’ll look further down the road for out next rain event tomorrow, but it could be a while…

Looks good for planting your veggies!
