A few very scattered poppers are out and about this afternoon, but your odds of seeing any rainfall totals over 1/10 of an inch are very remote. The low pressure that has been hanging out just offshore in the Gulf, continues to bobble around, but should be pushed to the SW this weekend as our booster front arrives on Saturday. Behind the front, look for some great temps with lows in the 50's and 60's and highs in the 80's and low 90's.

Next week is going to be interesting, as the low that will be moved into the Gulf from our weekend front, interacts with the tropical wave being monitored by the NHC that is expected to move into the Gulf. Although it only has a 20% chance for forming into a storm, it could bring some hefty rainfall into far south Texas, LRGV and along the southern coast. The models are really divided on what may happen, so I'm not even posting them for now...just the NWS 7-day forecast. On an interesting note, the latest couple of GFS model runs are predicting that a tropical storm or hurricane will form off the western Mexican coast next week, then the remnants will move into Texas by around the 15th. This sort of scenario is very possible, and we have seen such events occur in the past!

Below are some rainfall totals from the past 5days and 3days along with other info. I did not post the drought update because they did not include the big rains on Tuesday, so very little had changed.
