Our rain window closes after tomorrow, but cooler air is on the way!

Nice to see that our radar has not completely gone blank, even with drier air aloft moving in behind a weak cool front. As I type this post, there are scattered storms over much of south-central and south Texas.

Expect less activity tomorrow, then even less on Friday, as high pressure moves in behind a booster front, that will arrive on Saturday. We should see lows in the 50's and 60's for south-central Texas and 60's for south Texas on Sunday-Tuesday. Highs will be mainly in the 80's and low 90's for the distant future...the Hellish Hundreds are gone!

I don't see another rain event for at least 5days but all eyes will be on the tropics as a series of waves move this direction over the next few weeks. The first one may move into the SW Gulf by next week and if it steers far enough north, could drop some major rain for south Texas and the LRGV.

Meanwhile, I hope more of you who didn't see as much rain as you wanted, get lucky over the next 24hrs!

Mark
