Wow, summer-like temperatures this afternoon in February! I’ll be posting the records in the comment section on Facebook as they are released, but I know for sure that San Antonio set a record for the day and I see that a location along the Rio Grande, between Eagle Pass and Laredo soared to 97 degrees!

How warm did it get at your place and where?

The cold front in north Texas will eventually slide just south of San Antonio, before going stationary by tomorrow morning. Locations to the south of HWY 90 and I-10 east will likely see highs in the 80’s tomorrow while north of the front, highs will be in the 50’s and 60’s. The front remains close to the same position through Wednesday, until a much stronger front moves through in the afternoon. Rain odds will start entering the picture by Monday night as a trough over the west sends out some disturbances ahead of it. As of today, the best chances for rain will be on Tuesday and early Wednesday before the strong front pushes through the entire state by Wednesday evening. The coldest mornings of the week will be Thursday and Friday, with some freezes possible in the Hill Country and 30’s to 40’s for the rest of the area.
