I could lie! I could make up a happier forecast, but then you guys would find my mountain hide-out in Colorado, drag me back to Texas, and lock me in an unairconditioned metal tool shed with no windows!

So, I won't lie! Look for above normal temperatures for at least a week to 10 days with almost a zero chance for rain. High pressure has set up shop and given its size and strength, will also chase away any tropical somethings that might form in the Gulf. Here's what our NWS had to say about that: "The upper-level ridge looks to remain near or over the region into Monday. The tropical wave over the east-central Caribbean Sea, which is being monitored by NHC for development, looks to pass well south of the area and into Mexico Monday.

There are some signs that we could see a pattern change later this month, but until I start to see more model consensus, I won't talk about them yet.
