3 Fronts coming our way!

Wow! Who would have thought that in mid-November we would be talking about a possible tropical something forming in the Carribean? No threat (or rain help) to Texas, but some of the latest model runs think this could become a tropical storm or hurricane, then heading to the hurricane magnet, Florida!

For us, wimpy front #1 will move through tomorrow, dropping our temps closer to what we should be seeing this time of the year, (40’s and 50’s for lows and 70’s for highs). Another Pacific front #2 will march through late on Monday, giving us a chance for rain before and along the front. The models have turned a little more bullish for rain odds and I certainly hope they continue to do so. Late on Tuesday, the 19th, we will finally see a real cold front, for the first time this season! As I mentioned yesterday, rain odds look poor, but the odd of us needing to break out a jacket and potentially cover our plants looks good. The Hill Country may flirt with a freeze by next Thursday morning, the 21st, and unlike our current wimpy fronts, this one may have some booster cold air behind it, keeping us chilly for several days where highs may struggle to get out of the 50’s. The GFS model also thinks we could see some rain behind the front…we shall see!
