Some heat relief, but that’s about it for now…

Other than heat relief from our cool front that will move through tomorrow night and drop our lows into the 50's and highs in the upper 70's and low 80s, I'm afraid that our rain odds will be pretty low for this weekend. Unfortunately, the upper-level low will stay too far north to do us much good, other than a few scattered showers and thunderstorms from Friday-Sunday. For now, the best rains will stay in the Panhandle and possibly in the LRGV.
The latest GFS is forecasting another system towards the end of the month, but this same model has a bad habit of changing its mind several times a day.
If any of you are traveling to Colorado or New Mexico this weekend, this storm will be dropping a lot of rain over NE New Mexico and SW Colorado, where I live. For you skiers, the mountains in these same areas should see some decent snow.
I'll publish any high temp records this afternoon in the comments section.
FYI: If you have taken any decent photos of Comet Atlas, please feel free to post them here and let us know where your location was. I'm hoping to go out tonight and see what I can do if the clouds part.

Our cool front should blow through tomorrow night!
The upper-level low is forecast to stay far to our north with very little moisture being drawn into our area. Blue-green tones are good...brown are bad!
