Hmm...this is really getting to be a challenge! While a pattern change still looks likely the first week of November, I don't see any signs for meaningful (maybe a tenth?) rain through the rest of the month.
On a positive note, the latest model runs think Halloween will be dry for trick or treaters. Unfortunately, it looks like temperatures will still be in the 80's when it gets dark, so everyone may have to choose astronaut costumes with built in cooling units for the children!
The latest CPC 8-14 day rainfall forecast continues to favor a wet spell during the first week of November...we shall see if the models agree. Just when they start looking bullish for rain, 24hrs later they don't.
