Remembering all of our veterans who lost their lives protecting our freedoms!

Yet another scorcher out there with heat index temperatures already into the 110's over much of south-central and south Texas. Fortunately, the Hell High will slip to our south by tomorrow, giving us a NW flow and chances for storms for the next 5-7 days. The best odds for severe weather will be tomorrow, as a dry line and a stationary front to our north will potentially produce a large area of storms in the afternoon. These storms are forecast to move SE during the afternoon and evening, impacting much of south-central and northern counties of south Texas. The biggest threat will be the typical large hail and high winds. Please make sure your warning apps are on!

As I have been saying over the past few days, this will be a very random pattern this week, with storms forming almost anywhere at any time. The models should only be used as a guideline.

I hope the rest of your day is spent either in a pool or river, or inside with your AC cranked to full power!

Storms are forming over the Serranias del Burro Mountains in Mexico this afternoon. A few of these may slip into our border towns by this evening.
