So far, not much rain to mention from this system...the models predicted some storms to form in the Hill Country last night, but the only rain so far, has occurred in far western counties and around Junction. I don't think we will see a bust tonight. Based on the latest model runs, the upper-level low and front combo should deliver some hefty storms tonight through Easter morning for the Hill Country and counties to the SW, along the border. There will be a chance for large hail and high winds, so if you in the above- mentioned areas, I would certainly find some garage space for your vehicle overnight! FYI: San Antonio and Austin could get hit by severe storms as well.

Once this system moves through, it will set the stage for very good odds for rain this upcoming week as the front goes stationary along the coast, then returns as a warm front will lots of almost tropical moisture. A series of disturbances from the west will interact with the surface moisture, giving us some great odds for rain from Tuesday through possibly the end of the month! I'll devote my post tomorrow to what could be a fantastic way to end April!

Meanwhile, please tune to your local NOAA radio or emergency apps for the latest warnings for your location. Unfortunately, the severe weather will be moving through during the middle of the night and early hours, so sleeping may be a bit challenging tonight in the Hill Country!
