No drastic changes to the forecast from yesterday's post except that there is now a better chance for scattered severe storms tonight between midnight and 3am for the Hill Country and generally to the west of I-35. Hail and high winds will be the main threat.

On Saturday, expect scattered storms to form during the day in south-central Texas, with some of these becoming severe. Late on Saturday night a trough and associated cool front will spark a line of storms in west Texas that will move into south-central Texas during the early morning hours of Easter Sunday. There will be a threat of large hail and high winds with these storms. As the line moves south of San Antonio, it will rapidly weaken, but there could be enough energy on the western side of the line to extend as far south as Eagle Pass and Laredo. As of now, it still looks good for Easter picnics on Sunday afternoon.

As always, please tune to your local NOAA radio or emergency apps for warnings for your particular location.
