Looking over the latest rain totals, the models were pretty accurate with their forecasts of very little rain for much of our area. A few of you found a tenth of an inch or more in your rain gauges (especially east of San Antonio), but for the most part, most of us recorded only a few hundreds of an inch of rain this morning. We will continue to be mostly cloudy with chances for drizzle and fog in the morning from Monday-Wednesday.
Over the past 48 hours, I’ve noticed that the models are shifting the higher rain totals more and more to the NE. While that is not a trend I was to continue seeing, at this point, we still have a chance for a decent rain event for areas along and east of I-37 and along and north of HWY-90 and I-10 East happening Wednesday-Friday morning. There will be a chance for some thunderstorms during this event, BTW.
An upper-level low is already visible on water vapor satellite imagery this afternoon, giving some much needed rain relief to south California as I work on this post. This low will track to the SE, east and then NE over Big Bend and eventually north Texas this week. A Pacific cool front will also move our direction, boosting our rain odds, especially on Wednesday night and Thursday. By Friday afternoon, we should start clearing out behind the front.

24hr drizzle and rainfall totals were pretty wimpy for most of us.
Any rainfall that is still around will be moving out to the east this afternoon.
Our rain-making upper-level low is currently off the coast in southern California. The low is forecast to follow the red line this week on its way to Texas!
The surface map gets a little messy on Thursday!
