A hot day on tap tomorrow ahead of our rainmaker, with highs in the 90's in south-central and south Texas.
By late on Wednesday, the first of several disturbances will ignite thunderstorms in Mexico which will move eastward across the border during the afternoon and evening. On Thursday, storms will continue to form all day and could set up a "Rain Train" of training storms and showers in some areas. By Friday, the main upper-level low moves through, leaving behind some lingering storms into early Saturday. Look for a mostly dry period the first week of April.
This sums up things nicely from the NWS: "In summary, much needed rainfall across South Central Texas is expected from Wednesday through Friday. Lots of locations are expected to receive one inch of rainfall per storm totals and other could get up to three inches. Can't rule out isolated higher amounts. A warning trend starts over the weekend with highs in the
upper 80s to mid 90s.
Below are the latest model runs...again, don't get too caught up in where the models are forecasting excessive rain.
