A dying cool front will spark a broken line of storms this evening as it moves into south-central Texas around 10pm. There is a slight chance for severe storms, mainly along and east of I-35, from San Antonio northward. The primary threat will be hail and high winds. The front will go stationary in south Texas tomorrow and then "poof" by tomorrow night.

Our hefty trough moving in from the west, along with some disturbances are still forecast to start impacting our weather by Wednesday night. As of this post, it appears this will primarily be a shower and light duty thunderstorm event since the Storm Prediction Center isn't showing any severe weather this week after Monday. Almost unbelievable, given our drought situation, there is a 5% chance for excessive rain between Thursday and Friday!

Below are the latest greatest model runs. As I mentioned yesterday, don't get too wrapped up on where exact rainfall totals will be and where there may be holes or extreme rainfall shown on the maps. We are still four days from showtime!
