Not much has changed in the past 24hrs. except it's hotter! Temperatures are in the upper 90's to low 100's as I work on this post and some locations are seeing heat indexes of over 115 degrees!

We will still see a disturbance moving in the from the NW over the next 24hrs, giving us a slight chance for some thunderstorms in south-central Texas and the coastal plains. While a few lucky rain lottery winners may see 1/4-1/2 inch of precipitation, most of you will see nothing out of this system.

Unless something tropical forms in the next week, (not in the forecast), I don't see much if any rain in the next 7-10 days.
