Rain chances are here to stay for a while!

8-27-24. 4pm. This Update is brought to you by Davy Ranch Supply in Yorktown, TX. davyranchsupply.com

If you like almost daily rains for the next 7-10 days, then south and south-central Texas are the place to be! Our upper-level low is sparking scattered storms today and will continue to do so for the next several days. As we move into Labor Day weekend, a cool front will take a dive into Texas, increasing our rain odds as it goes stationary somewhere in central or south-central Texas. As this happens, yet another upper-level disturbance is forecast to form over the western Gulf, increasing our odds for rain even more as it slowly drifts NW. As of this post time, rain chances look pretty decent for Labor Day, so you might want to start considering a "Plan B". I'll continue watch the models and will update this weekend with every new post.

Currently there are scattered storms all over our area and they should hang around until sunset. More will for tomorrow.

As far as the tropics go, we now have a 20% chance for a tropical something to form in the Atlantic over the next 7days.
