Rain chances are improving...at least for the Hill Country and the western counties!

An upper-level low over southern AZ will slowly spin the north over the next 24hrs, ushering in some Pacific moisture into west Texas. Meanwhile, a dying cool front will take a dive southward tomorrow, giving parts of our area a chance for some thunderstorms during the morning and another round in the evening. As is mostly the case around here, any thunderstorms that do form could become severe, with hail and high winds being the biggest threat.

The latest HRRR short-range model thinks a cluster of storms will form over west Texas this evening, then move SE, hitting all of our western counties and potentially as far east as San Antonio by daybreak. The line of storms will continue to move SE during the day on Monday and could go as far south as Laredo and the LRGV. Let's hope this verifies!

Once this system moves through, look for temperatures moving back up to the century mark by later this week. I'll have a long- range post out tomorrow afternoon.

Good luck!
