Still a lot of questions about Beryl’s future!

In the short-term, continued hot and humid, with little to no rain chances over the next 7 days. Cat 4 Burly Beryl is approaching the Caribbean and will hit the Yucatan on Thursday, before emerging in the Gulf near the Bay of Campeche on Friday. From there, the models continue to scratch their heads! A rare July cool front will drop into north Texas on Saturday and could possibly weaken the high pressure over us enough to allow whatever remains of Beryl to track NW and into south Texas. After being sheered in the Caribbean and crossing the Yucatan, the question is what will be left of Beryl? Best case for us, would be a weak tropical storm or depression that would drop some decent rain totals for south and south-central Texas. At this point, we still don't really have a clue.
So, we will keep our eyes out on the latest tracking forecasts from the NHC and the models.
Below is the latest update on Beryl and a few model runs for precipitation through the 8th-10th of July. You can clearly see which models are forecasting the storm or remnants to move into Texas!
