Santa will be dropping off some rain gifts tonight!

Merry Christmas!

I’ll be taking the day off tomorrow, but fingers crossed tonight in hopes that Santa drops some precipitation over your backyards! While the best odds will continue to be east of I-35 and I-37, the latest model runs are forecasting some pretty hefty storms to form around Austin and San Antonio and eastward this evening, then moving SE. The coastal plains may not only see some severe weather, but more rain than was originally forecast earlier this week. As far as severe storms go, these will have the potential for high winds and hail. As always, tune to your local NOAA weather radio or make sure your emergency apps are turned on.

Look for milder temperatures than earlier forecast tomorrow, with highs mainly in the upper 60’s and 70’s. Rain comes back into the forecast on Thursday but will likely develop even further east than this system.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve and day…and thanks again for your support and interest in this page!
