For the holidays, some of our sponsors are letting me post a photo of them so you can see the faces behind the logos! Today it’s the Ellis Family, from 5E Trailers. We thank them for their gracious support and hope that if any of you need a trailer, they are your go-to place.

Looking over the latest model runs, it’s quite obvious that the Euro model wants to play Santa Claus, sending us a boatload of rain through Christmas! While I appreciate its intensions, teasing us is even worse than the Grinch, so I’m warning the Euro to verify instead of teasing us!

A front will drop into the northern sections of the Hill Country on Saturday before going stationary, producing a few streamer showers and drizzle…the best odds will be along and east of I-35. Another front will actually make it through the state on Monday, giving us another chance for some showers and thunderstorms…again, the best odds will be along and east of I-35. We will see yet another chance for rain on Wednesday of next week as another front moves through. The Euro and the Canadian model are quite bullish for some decent rain totals from the Monday and Wednesday fronts, with the Euro even forecasting a low pressure to move straight through the state, instead of the usual NE path the lows have been taking lately. We shall see…

The Euro and the GFS models are both forecasting a wet and cool Christmas as of today. I have a new Santa image to reflect the change.

I still don’t see any arctic outbreaks in the next couple of weeks, but next Wednesday’s front could drop us back down to freezing by next Thursday and Friday.
