Windy and Warm!
A Red Flag Warning (see graphics below) is in effect for about half south-central and south Texas this afternoon until 10pm. It's a warm and windy day with gusts already near and over 30mph, humidity in the teens and twenties and temperatures in the upper 80's and 90's. We may see more Red Flag Warnings this week as temperatures will stay in the 90's and winds will continue gusting from 20-30mph.
By this weekend, we will see our first chances for rain as an upper-level low moves through the state from the SW. This low is currently forecast to take the evil NE track, keeping the best rains in north Texas. Models are now forecasting better odds for more widespread rain from the 25th-27th.
Fingers crossed that no one decides to build a bon fire this week!
