Not much today, but rain odds will continue into next week.

Boo!
A few of you found a few drops in your rain gauges today, but once again it was mostly dry across our region, except along the coast and the coastal plains. The wimpy front is now along a Del Rio to San Antonio line. It may push a little further south before going stationary tomorrow, then will drift back north as a warm front. As it does, it will kick off more scattered storms and showers on Friday and Saturday as it destabilizes our atmosphere.
As advertised, we will see a real front move through on Monday afternoon or evening. This one will not only cool us off but will give us a chance for storms as it moves through. If the front moves in late in the afternoon when temps will rise into the upper 80's, we could even see some severe weather.
We will see a quick warmup on Wednesday of next week ahead of yet another front around Thursday. This front will give us another chance for rain and drop our temperatures even lower than the Monday front! If we get over-riding moisture and clouds, we could even see temperatures stay below 50 degrees for highs next weekend (Nov 9-10th). Before we get too excited, let's wait a few more days…
As I have mentioned, we won't see the big rains like north Texas and OK this week, but I'm still feeling optimistic that many of our rain gauges will collect at least a half an inch of rain by late next week.
