One last chance for scattered storms…

Wow...we had some limited, but hefty rain totals of over 3 inches in Hays and Guadalupe counties from yesterday's scattered storms! None of the models predicted anything close to that. With some heating, there will be another chance for some scattered storms this afternoon, before drier air moves in tomorrow and shuts down our rain window for at least a week.

Here are some rain totals from South-Central Texas: https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/wx/afos/p.php?pil=PNSEWX&e=202408101600

As I mentioned yesterday, our tropical wave in the Atlantic may turn into a storm this week, but is forecast to take a NE turn, keeping it out of the Gulf.

I'll have a long-range forecast out tomorrow...fingers crossed that we have some more rain lottery winners this afternoon and evening. If you got some rain yesterday, let us know how much and where!
