A slight chance for rain and a big chance for wind!

And so it begins!

Welcome to my new blog and website! This is a work in progress, but as of today you will not only be able to see my posts on Facebook, but my blogs on my website. I also am sharing some of my favorite links and any upcoming events like next month’s total solar eclipse. Please let anyone you know that doesn’t do Facebook, to please bookmark this website and I would appreciate all of you doing the same thing, just in case the Facebook Gods decide to arbitrarily shut down this page, like they almost did last fall.

As far as this week goes, our major event will be a strong cold front blowing through on early Wednesday, that will not only lower our temperatures, but will usher in wind gusts of over 40mph. On Thursday, an upper-level disturbance drifts in from Mexico, giving us a slight chance for rain and some showers and thunderstorms. As of this post, the models are still very undecided on where the rain will fall, with some keeping it to our north and others bringing it further south. For all of you veggie planters, I don’t see any freezing temperatures with this next front, but the Hill Country could see some 30’s for lows.

Please feel free to leave me any thoughts or suggestions on what more to include on this website and your overall impression!

Forecast high wind gusts for Wednesday.

How much rain these models think will fall on Thursday.
