A little something to keep an eye on…

I actually found something to talk about! The NHC thinks there is a 20% chance that a tropical something will form over the next week in the southern Gulf again! Here is what they have to say..."Western Caribbean/Southwestern Gulf of Mexico:
A westward-moving tropical wave located a few hundred miles
east-southeast of the Windward Islands is producing disorganized
showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions appear
conducive for slow development once the wave reaches the western Caribbean late this week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...low...20 percent.
As of this post time, our ever-friendly high pressure will more than likely steer this system into Mexico again, but being over a week away, it's hard to know for sure.
Below are the latest model runs for rainfall through July 4th and the 3:20pm radar imagery...there are a few tiny pm poppers roaming around the coastal plains and south Texas.
