Here comes the dry line!
3-12-24. 3:45pm. This Update is brought to you by Bahia Services and Rentals in Port O'Connor. Rentals including Trash Dumpsters, Portable Toilets/Restroom Trailers, Hand Washing/Sanitizing Stations as well as Generators, Light Towers, Cooling-Warming Stations, and other rental equipment.
Red Flag Warning for this afternoon for most of our area!
The dry line is currently moving in from the west this afternoon and should be through most of our area in the next hour. Super dry air is behind the cool front-dry line with humidity in the single digits in most of the Hill Country and along the border. The higher winds will stay in the Hill Country (over 30mph gusts), but even 20mph gusts with such low dew points can spread a fire quickly!
Temperatures are in the 90's this afternoon and we'll see more of them, along with some 100's along the border over the next two days. On Friday, a stronger front moves through, lowering our temperatures into the 70's and 80's for the weekend. Unfortunately, we will experience more gusty, dry winds on Friday and Saturday.
The Euro and GFS models continue to think we may see some rain by the end of the month...let's hope so!
