After a very cold last few days, the weather gods are sending the arctic air out of Texas tomorrow and bringing back sunshine and spring-like temperatures for the final week of February.

There were several reports of icing this morning in the areas that were part of the Weather Advisory issued yesterday…hopefully you guys didn’t have to get out and experience slippery roads! Drizzle totals were for the most part, in the hundredths of an inch, but a few locations in south Texas actually recorded over a tenth of an inch of rain.

Looking further down the weather road, odds for rain are better than 50/50 that we will see slightly above normal rainfall totals over the next 6-10 days, but based on the models that I have viewed, I’m not seeing anything close to a decent rain event. Not to be forgotten…March is typically one of our dryer months of the year, so it doesn’t take much rain to be above average!

I’ve included the latest outlooks from the CPC and some of the extended model runs over the next 30 days.

Get out and enjoy soaking in some vitamin D this week!
